Gender Feelings

Recently I’ve started to have some unusual gender feelings. I’m not really sure when they started, maybe a week ago, maybe a year ago. I’m not sure how to describe them other than being like an itchy sweater that’s now slightly too small.

Words like “man” and “he” don’t quite seem to fit like they used to, but “women” and “she” just don’t feel right either. Maybe “non-binary” is a little closer, but none of these things feel like they describe me. When people ask me what my gender is or what my pronouns are, those who have had similar feelings are usually understanding, but most poeple don’t seem to be able to get that gender isn’t a static identity for me. Some days I feel more masculine, others more feminine. Some days I can’t figure out what I’m feeling.
